Coaching for executives navigating change
In your role, your organization, or yourself.
I bring 25 years of operating experience to my clients. Before becoming a coach, I built and led teams across media, technology, and mission-driven organizations — at startups, mid-sized companies, and large enterprises. I have advised and consulted with leaders at more than 30 organizations, and I am acutely aware that most of them have people challenges that don't show up on the org chart.
That breadth of experience is what makes this coaching different. I don't just ask good questions — I bring real operational insight, pattern recognition across dozens of organizations, and the willingness to name what needs naming.
You might be a good fit if…
You're leading through organizational upheaval — rapid growth, restructuring, leadership change — and you need to stay effective while the ground is shifting
You've hit a leadership ceiling — not in title, but in how your leadership is landing with the people around you — and you want to break through it
You're navigating a career transition and the question isn't just "what's next" but "who am I becoming"
You're in a challenging work environment — misaligned values, difficult dynamics, a role that's outgrown you or that you've outgrown — and you need a partner who's been there
You're a founder or executive at a mission-driven company who wants coaching from someone who understands both the business and the human side
How I work
Every engagement is bespoke. I don't run a program — I build one around you.
Some clients need help navigating a specific leadership challenge in a compressed timeframe. Others want sustained partnership over years as they grow through successive roles, challenges, and identity shifts. The shape of the work depends on what you're navigating — and it evolves as you do.
What's consistent is the approach: I bring operational experience, not just questions. I share insights, name patterns, challenge assumptions, and bring exercises, frameworks, and tools that are relevant to your situation — not a one-size-fits-all curriculum. When a Leadership Circle Profile 360 would be valuable, I use it. When a values-clarification exercise is needed, I do that instead. The work is driven by what will actually move you forward.
I often work with multiple members of the same leadership team — sometimes as an extension of a broader organizational engagement, sometimes because the coaching deepens when I can see the full picture. This is one of the advantages of a practice that does both coaching and advisory work: the perspectives reinforce each other.
I am an ICF and CTI-certified executive coach and a Leadership Circle Profile practitioner — but the credentials serve the work, not the other way around.
What to expect
Initial engagements typically range from three to six months, with bi-weekly sessions and between-session support. Many of my client relationships extend well beyond that. I also offer half-day or full-day leadership offsites for teams.
I take on a small number of coaching clients at any given time. This is deliberate - it allows me to bring real depth and availability to every engagement.
Every engagement begins with a free discovery conversation. No pitch, no commitment. Just an honest exchange about what you’re navigating and whether there’s a fit.
“Working with Michael has been game-changing for me as a leader. He has a rare ability to see both the emotional and structural dynamics at play inside an organization — and to help me navigate them with clarity, focus, and integrity. Our coaching sessions always leave me with deeper insight and practical next steps. He’s helped me show up more intentionally with my team, have hard conversations I used to avoid, and build systems that make everything run more smoothly. I’m a better leader because of our work together.”
